How do the three product versions differ?
Our wooden products are available in three variants. The material does not change, only the final treatment.
Au natural
The product is carefully carved, polished and packaged without undergoing any subsequent treatment, and is then shipped to your home. This “au natural” version gives the wood a very pure, warm effect which is perfectly suited to any room.
Treated with an impregnating agent
We use various types of impregnating agents which allow the grain and vibrancy of the wood to shine through. After the treatment, the material takes on a honey-colored hue. Wood is a natural material, therefore the color may vary.
Painted
Wooden figurines painted by hand, utilizing non-toxic Lukas colors, are transformed into a highly-decorative display piece for your home. If you have specific color requirements, please do not hesitate to let us know!
How is size calculated?
Our statues, nativity scene figurines and other carvings are measured in accordance with specific indicative values, utilized to ensure that products from the same line match up.
This means that a sheep which is part of a “20 cm” nativity scene is NOT 20 cm in height, but rather that it is proportionate to the other figurines of this version.
The size of the figurine of Joseph is the unit of measurement.
With regards to crucifixes, the measurements refer to the length of the cross, not the body of Christ. Please consider that certain postures (for example figurines on bended knee) equate with different heights.
